(56,828 posts)too old now, but I remember hearing rumors he was in line for SCOTUS if Dukakis has won in 1988. Certainly would have been a much better judge than Clarence Thomas.

(2,199 posts)They expected he would do as told. Because he didn't, a Pandora's box of crime has been opened to dig through. This isn't your typical extortion case that involves money, but I think it's still extortion and AMI has violated their plea deal with AMI. All bets are off.

(14,764 posts)Pecker wasn't critical to any investigation. They had him and could have charged him. Cohen has physical evidence of the crimes, and there are other corroborating witnesses.
They didn't need to immunize pecker. So why did they?
Someone put their thumbs on that scale. And that someone won't let the deal be dissolved.
Pecker knows it, or he wouldn't have been do ham fisted.
This smells like rotting fish on a hot day, and has since they announced the deal.

I open my emails from the WaPo every day. 👀
