12. I don't see how you can impeach him for something that allegedly happened long

before he took office.

7. You missed the point

The statue of limitations are long gone.

There is NO INVESTIGATION.

Do you think these charges are all a lie?

Both women are lying?

8. The DNC can investigate like they did with Ellison, we're not talking about jail time were

... talking about his political career.

Fairfax should INDIGNANTLY ask for an investigation RIGHT NOW !!!

11. Yes. Those attacks have been shameful

And I am appalled at women of DU who are expressly putting political party and race over the right of women to be free from sexual assault and rape.

The revelations about Justin Fairfax break my heart.

13. If it's because one is a crime, does a standard of evidence have to be met?

Even if he can't be adjudicated in a court of law due to statute of limitations (wtf??), at least before suffering consequences of guilt, shouldn't the accused have some opportunity to face his accuser(s) and clear his name?

For what it's worth, the second accuser claims to have corroborating statements that she told other people what happened at the time. That makes hers a more substantive allegation. But still, he is denying it and calling for an investigation.

15. the standard of evidence applies to legal proceedings

Fairfax had no problem calling her a liar in his public statement
Fairfax had no problem claiming Northam released the story about the rape to help Northam.

The second claim is better documented than the first. Although the first is also credible because the woman is credible.

Very few women lie about sexual assault.
But rapists aren't known for being truthful or forthcoming.

16. He should get an investigation.

But, based upon my experience with dealing with people that had such allegations against them, if there are two credible cases, there are more.
