Happy President's' Day*. 9 states have no observance.

I know a lot of the private sector doesn't have the day off but I didn't know that some states have no observance of any kind-The states in white below. Some states have different names.

Omitting Lincoln in the southern states is telling and a bit funny at this point. At least to me.

Standing in the first row watching former President Clinton give a speech 10 feet away from me and getting to shake his hand afterwards.

My state of residence wasn't even on that map, so you KNOW we didn't get a holiday (I was up by 5:30 to run over to Holland this morning).

It was a planned day off but they are making up for a snow day. Preemptively. We tend to get snow late Feb early March here.
