I just watched McCabe's 60 Minutes interview.
There's no way he would have given that much detail, especially about Rosenstein, without clearing it with Mueller.
I'm wondering why now. It's likely Rosenstein will be fired. They had to know the interview would enfuriate Trump and cause him to lash out. Are we close to the end game?

1. We are going to smaller victories.
It started out as one term, then one year, then six months. I think we are at about one week now. Soon it will be one day trump stays in power will be a victory for him.

2. omg i thought rosenstien was already gone...accck ive lost count!
...but youre right. Hes next..but maybe TRUMPS NEXT???
I just saw bits and pieces of the interview but did anyone else get an uh-oh feeling when the interviewer said ( paraphrase) " So the acting attny general was out to get the president one way or another?" from what I watched seemed Andys answers were a little guarded after that. I guess I just need to watch the whole thing.. |

5. I think you may be correct. Thanks for that.
The timing makes sense if that's the case.

6. Seems to me he said August.
Are we seeing another McCabe firing coming. Donnie knows SDNY is moving pretty fast on his Criminal Enterprises and other States are moving on him as well.

4. Mccabe looked great except
I didn’t care how we were getting McCabe pitted against Rosenstein. That doesn’t seem to help the story much that they disagree

10. Just listening to Ari's show, there's a suggestion that McCabe doesn't particularly care for Rosens-
tein, and McCabe is particularly loyal to Comey, so it could be just a free shot.

7. McCabe is a free agent, why do you think he had anything cleared by Mueller?

8. Because it wasn't just a job. He's still loyal to this country.
Scott Pelley explained that Mueller would pick McCabe to brief heads of state and others on very complicated information. McCabe is good at being concise and easy to understand. Can't imagine he would act independently.

9. Anyone in government service with a security clearance
Anyone in government service with a security clearance has obligations regarding their work, even after leaving government service; written works that describe one's past government service are routinely subject to review, especially with regards to those having been in military, law enforcement, R&D, or intelligence positions.
McCabe was the senior deputy and then the acting head of the FBI, which has both law enforcement and intelligence/counterintelligence responsibilities in the US. What he wrote was certainly reviewed. |

12. I don't get the brouhaha over the Rosenstein wire suggestion
Is no one out there defending those who have considered the 25th amendment or wearing a wire? We'd be foolish if that it not strongly being considered...

13. Call me hopeful, but I think the whole thing was carefully orchestrated.
Rosenstein, McCabe, FBI and Mueller have got a very big fish on the line, and they are getting it close to the boat. I'd just say that Fish #1 thrashes more as it gets closer to the boat, and tactics are being employed to guarantee it doesn't slip away. Notice that the FBI's letter to 60 minutes, while appearing to discredit McCabe, didn't actually say anything that contradicted anything specific, or important. So Trump thinks the FBI is on his side now...
