There has been a lot of moisture in S. AZ but way too much has melted off:

Workman Creek is above normal for precip but the snow is almost gone way too early. This storm will help: https://wcc.sc.egov.usda.gov/reportGenerator/view/customChartReport/daily/877:AZ:SNTL%7cid=%22%22%7cname/CurrentWY,CurrentWYEnd/WTEQ::value,WTEQ::median_1981,PREC::value,PREC::average_1981?fitToScreen=false

And are now close to last year's levels. A modest snow-pack should put us into a safe range for a bit.

Of course, then our idiot legislature will say "crisis over; build more golf courses".

Next winter a lot of moisture is a lot less likely. What is scary is if you click on most of the Southern NM and AZ SNOTEL sites, the amount of rainfall is above normal but the snowpack is abysmal. Probably somewhat global warming related.

Flagstaff is noted for it. In fact, I remember driving back to California after being discharged from the USAF at Ft. Meade, MD, in 1969. I was driving a 1959 Volvo 544. packed with all my worldly possessions. As I approached Flagstaff, the snow was coming down hard. I had very little experience with driving in snow. Then, I came up behind a snowplow, and decided to draft that plow. It worked great. A little slow, for sure, but I had a clear road all the way.

I'm at 4650 feet--Miller peak, close nearby is 9500.
I've gone through a lot more firewood than usual.
I worn out from splitting wood and it's gonna get in the teens
tonight. Enough!
