He may not be satisfied with infecting the judiciary for a generation. If he can figure out more opportunities to damage the federal government by remaining in the Senate, he'll run for re-election.

that Dems have a decent chance of winning the Senate next year, and Mitch can't handle being in the minority with no power. That's why he's speeding up confirming tons of right-wing extremists and fascists for the courts.
