Tucker Carlson is officially "on vacation"

Fox News host Tucker Carlson is officially on vacation, according to colleague Sean Hannity.
Fox News’ Tucker Carlson won’t ‘take the left’s crap’ — but is going on vacation for rest of the week: Sean Hannity.

After a tumultuous few days of audio interviews released showing Carlson to be a racist, sexist, homophobe and xenophobe, the host is off.

Carlson’s show ran 11:28 of commercials tonight, according to Justin Baragona. That’s down two minutes from Monday night, which was reduced “way down” from an announced pre-boycott. Bayer did not show any ads on Carlson’s show, despite running previous ads on his show. The company hasn’t released a statement, however.

No vacation was announced before Tuesday.

I was shocked to hear him misinterpret their goals and their success in combating hate groups in this country (like the KKK and the Proud Boys and Neo Nazis/White Supremacists). He should be ashamed of himself for either being intentionally stupid or ill-informed. But to hear him denounce them in his childish way is just pathetic. Everyone knows the outstanding work the SP LC does AND how much they have had to beef up their personal security, especially for Morris Dees and Richard Cohen, who have seen the death threats against them quadruple.

He tries to defend what he's said in the past as an alternative point of view. No, Carlson, calling the daughter of Martha Steward "cunty" is not an alternative point of view, it's misogynist, vulgar and depraved.

I see you're going on vacation for a while. Why not visit an exotic locale, like say Venezuela or Syria or The Congo. Fly Boeing. Stay a while, mingle with the locals, share your "alternative" ideas with them. Don't come back anytime soon.
