but we have to thank Jerry Brown for his service. Truly turned the state from one of deficit to surplus.

So many republicans said it would bankrupt the state and business would leave in droves. Well here we are, proudly the 5th largest economy in the world and the Republicans hold no statewide office and in 2018 the Republican stronghold of wealthy Orange County turned blue. Gee, I wonder who was right?

They will ask you if you want to register to vote and, unless you state a party, will put down “Independent”.

in a given party's Presidential Primary in California. It would be ironic if some liberal young voters registered Independent in solidarity with an independent candidate who temporarily identified as, say Democratic, for the sole purpose of running for President.

maybe their numbers wouldn't be dwindling.

That's kind of how democracies are supposed to work. Most Repub policies are polling in the sub 40% range.
