New Zealand shootings: Powerful Twitter thread explains how the attack affects us all

Writer and New York Times contributor Wajahat Ali has put together a powerful thread on Twitter, explaining how the attack in Christchurch affects not just Muslim communities but everyone.

In the 11 post thread, he explains how the terrorist has imitated the attacks of Anders Brevik and others who have carried out similar acts, and how an underlining white supremacy ideology is being fed to 'angry, disaffected men'.

"Invasion". Absolutely chilling and makes me sick to my stomach that these murderers are being led and encouraged by our President.

so easily take a life, in order to make their ignorant point. Why can't they do it like others, with talk and dialogue, to make their point? They can't because no one listens to them (rightfully), they are cowards, live in their parents' basement still, they think that they are god's gift to the world and that they alone, have all of the answers.

How pathetic. If these shooters would stop and think a bit, just how many of these scumbag shooters are actually remembered later, especially since there's probably a shooting everyday in society somewhere unfortunately, that a vast majority of these killers go unnoticed, by history, as it should be.

I won't give a hoot or drop of energy to learn of these shooters, their names, etc. I could care less. I won't listen to rump and his ignorant cronies/supporters lap it up. It's not worth it, and I want to save my energy for the upcoming 2020 elections and the positive excitement that's to come, as well as offer comfort and aid to the victims of these shootings.
