So after the Mueller report is now looking like it's pretty bad for Trump will Glenn Greenwald

make the rounds again admitting he is a fucking piece of shit who was wrong as fuck and never should have done a victory lap for the worst President ever in the first place?

I have little doubt that whatever he will say will prove it (again).

I ask because I'm not really following it

If not, Trump will keep claiming victory and everyone will just lose interest

until Agent Orange pays out of his own pocket, he considers it free lunch on our tab, and calls it victory.

and as long as he calls it victory, all his allies will too.

and simply by repeating their declarations of victory, wittingly or not, the news media will assist in mainstreaming that message.

and the people who don't follow this stuff closely will consider the matter settled and get bored.

and then the media will stop covering it for a while, maybe call out some other atrocity that can serve as a distraction.

and rinse and repeat.

sing along if you know the words...

Public Image Ltd Round
Round and around
Around, around, round, round

Round and around
Around, around, round, round

Round and around
Around, around, round, round

Well of course
We've always had it in us
For a million years
Sleeping halitosis
Deaf ears provide
Perfect pure protection

Round and around
Around, around, round, round
Mushrooms on the horizon
Mushrooms on the horizon

You seem to say to say
Nothing can be something
Ignorance now
Dominates the season
Cruel fool
Idiot and spastic
Dutch courage
Talking like an ashtray

Round and around
Around, around, round, round
Mushrooms on the horizon
Mushrooms on the horizon

How many of you have seen a factory
As the boss held high
And the children die
Don't lecture here
Don't spit on my life

Round and around
Around, around, round, round
Mushrooms on the horizon
Mushrooms on the horizon

Round and around
Around, around, round, round (repeat)

Such a Trump protector. Calling Trump's crimes conspiracy theories. Every sentence a complaint about Maddow's reporting. I was dumbfounded that he could be so blind and stupid.

Trump stood up proud and loud on national TV and admitted he fired Comey to stop the Russian investigation. And Greenwald claimed that it was all made up.

Of course now he ain't out there praising the most criminal president in history. No he's scuttled back into his rat hole.

Greenwald of the Intercept, Jeremy Scahill, Aaron Maté of the Nation, Chris Hedges of Common Dreams (etc.), Taibbi of Rolling Stone, Caitlin Johnstone of whatever rag will print her drivel: too much of the supposed "Left" media preemptively surrendered to Putin and the Neoconservatives.

They need to correct their records if they ever hope to merit respect in the future.

I am too gullible and believe the stuff some of these writers have written in the past. Now I am alerted.

My one exception is Caitlin Johnstone, who strikes me as purely a Putin propagandist.

But the rest of them say some worthwhile and even important things at times. For one reason or another though, they each have had a huge blind spot about the crimes of Trump, the machinations of Putin, the evils of evangelical warmongering Republicanism, and how these three awful entities now intertwine to the grim detriment of these United States.

Taibbi himself says the WA Post reported on a research group that put him in that category.

I’ve been “outed” as a possible paid Putin plant by the infamous “PropOrNot” group, which is supposedly dedicated to rooting out Russian “agents of influence.” You might remember PropOrNot as the illustrious research team the Washington Post once relied on for a report that accused 200 alternative websites of being “routine peddlers of Russian propaganda during the election season.”
