Everyone get out of the race and back Joe Biden now.

(115,900 posts)Isnt the reason for primaries to determine the best candidate? I like him a lot but I want to learn more about the others before I make up my mind.

(15,265 posts)him his past has to be explained away or its Joe being Joe or "we know what's really in his heart". You can add that he fought against desegregation (bussing) as a freshman senator in the 70's. In the 2008 primary he referred to Senator Obama as "I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy," Biden said. "I mean, that's a storybook"
President Obama picking him as his VP wrapped him in a cloak ..
However, should he win the nomination I will vote for him.

(35,454 posts)He has a lot of baggage...for another...we don't anoint people...and...this is a democracy where people are entitled to a vote

(665 posts)Biden's is well known and has been litigated in the press. And he still beats Trump in every poll I've seen, and by he widest margin.

(35,454 posts)Yes his gaffes have been well litigated and will continue to be. I'm sure Senator Sanders team will see to that. Further, most men have no idea how heavily the Anita Hill matter hangs over his head. And then there are the other points I mentioned. Joe B. has run twice already and failed to be nominated, I don't think the 3rd time will be the charm.

(42,770 posts)decided up front, that they would renominate the person who literally won by 3 million votes last time, life would be so much simpler. Talk about eating our own ! She literally won, and trump continues to trash her, and dems abandoned her like a hot potato. I am sure the abandonment hurt more than the rest of it.
