Adam Schiff Rips William Barr For Falsely Claiming That The Trump Campaign Was Spied On

Adam Schiff Rips William Barr For Falsely Claiming That The Trump Campaign Was Spied On

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) ripped Attorney General William Barr for his false claim that the Trump campaign was spied on.

Barr was asked during his Senate testimony if he thought the Trump campaign was spied on. He answered, “Well, I think there was spying did occur, yes, I think spying did occur.” When he was asked if he had any evidence that spying occurred, Barr answered, ” I have no specific evidence that I would cite right now.”

Rep. Schiff responded to Barr in a statement provided to PoliticusUSA, “The top law enforcement officer of the country should not casually suggest that those under his purview engaged in ‘spying’ on a political campaign. This type of partisan talking point may please Donald Trump, who rails against a ‘deep state coup,’ but it also strikes another destructive blow to our democratic institutions. The hardworking men and women at the DOJ and FBI deserve better.”

Barr is Trump’s attorney, not America’s

Attorney General Barr floated a baseless allegation against the law enforcement officers that are under his jurisdiction because that is what Trump wants to hear. William Barr’s conduct with the Mueller report and now on the spying conspiracy theory is proof that Trump finally has someone at the DOJ who will protect him and follow his orders.

William Barr is not serving the United States of America. He is serving Donald Trump.

It was all neatly laid out in his 16 page resume that he submitted ahead of time which then led to his appointment.

I bet within one week Barr says the Mueller investigation and the current investigation Barr is cooking up are intertwined so the Mueller report can't be released until this new investigation is completed. Which will take until after November of 2020, of course.

Barr used the same strategy in his summary whitewash. When someone called it a summary, he vehemently disagreed. When it was pointed out to him that the four page fig leaf itself claimed to be a summary, Barr scuppered away.

By dropping his unfounded "spying" allegation, Barr accomplished what he wanted to accomplish: That word will be the subject of intense scrutiny and endless speculation on Fox. Trump will absorb this falsehood after marinating in it for a few days, and that's all we'll hear from Trump for weeks if not months.

Yes, he’s annoying, but I need something to distract me whike I’m on the treadmill! Anyway, he had Senator John Kennedy of Louisiana on, and he kept making a claim that the FBI investigated both the Clinton campaign and the Trump campaign and we needed to see the results. He seemed to insinuating that the FBI was suspicious of the Clinton campaign and investigated it for illegal actions too.

What was he talking about? I’ve paid lots of attention to the news the past couple of years, and I’m not aware of any investigation of the Clinton campaign. The only investigation was the Russian hacking of the DNC and maybe the Steele dossier. But even there, it was McCain who turned over that dossier, not Clinton. The Clinton Foundation was investigated, but that had nothing to do with her campaign.

Is this a new effort by Republicans to claim that Clinton’s campaign was dirty and thus Trump was just doing the same?

The tRump campaign, I would say the FBI had a counterintelligence investigation on the tRump campaign. Flynn and few more campaign workers were friendly with the Ruskies who were trying to get the sanctions against Russia lifted.

It wasn’t spying. It was a counterintelligence operation. Now since all that is happened with the Mueller report being hidden , I think the conservanazi party is hiding all the evidence in order to keep in power.

I'm not surprised that the FBI took an interest in the Trump campaign.

What probably happened is that the FBI was watching, as usual and expected, various personnel from Russia, and when some of these people under surveillance somehow communicated with Trump campaign people the FBI asked itself Why are Russians talking to the TrumpChumps and became curious.

Very understandable.

That's what any inquiry would probably end up finding. It may even end up hurting Trump in the end.

But that's not why they'd have one, we all know. The real reason would be to deflect the easily amused MSM towards a new "scandal" involving the evil Democrats, taking months and months dragging on. All the while casting doubt on the whole Mueller invest. All they need is enough doubt...combined with their election fraud...to steal 2020. Then have their "results" after they've won, which they will still spin their way, but it won't matter anyways, they'll have their victory, and there will be a hundred other disasters they will have created that any conclusion to it, which will not be much, will be lost quickly anyways.

without evidence if not to cover for Trump by obfuscating. Barr will have no future when Trump goes down.
