involved in screwing up the case against Assange with simple delay, etc.

As far as 'Barr making it up as he goes', given trump's methods, it may be that barr is not necessarily stupid or evil ended, but that trump is ordering Barr, when Barr's stuff is not well received, to write additional letters to 'improve' the media reception. Hence, the latest 'spying' propaganda effort, followed by sources 'clarifying' what Barr meant, and general contradictory media missives by Barr.

That is, its trump, 'making it up as he goes along.'
