The White House has been briefed on the Mueller report and "there is significant concern on the president's team about what will be in this report," and "what worries them most is what Don McGahn told the special counsel," @jonkarl reports on @ThisWeekABC

(3,344 posts)MSNBC should quickly switch to covering the implications of this for the rest of the day.
It must be bad if the White House is trying to get in front of this.

(35,309 posts)4/21, next Sunday.
Orthodox Easter is 4/28.
And Passover is later this week. Friday night, 4/19, is the traditional time for the first night's seder this year. (My usual oddball group keeps it Thursday evening, 4/18, this year, always one night earlier than Jewish tradition places it on the traditional calendar; the messianic synagogue my wife was in for a while has the first seder this Saturday night, 4/20, because they rely on having their elders actually go out and see the new moon).
Yes, it often pisses off non- or anti-Catholic Western Xians when I point out that they're observing "Catholic Easter," the Easter set by the authority of the Catholic Church and formalized by council and papal tradition. (Then I point out the same for Sunday observance; in my lifetime there's been a shift of many evangelicals away from saying, "Yes, we moved the day of worship from Saturday to Sunday because of the Easter Resurrection" to actually thinking that "everybody knows the Sabbath was always Sunday, the Jews must have gotten it wrong". That used to be a minority view, largely Baptist. Now in an era of greater ignorance of all things that must not be important because we don't already know them, it's more widespread.)

(1,588 posts)and risked being disbarred, he could have spilled some good stuff to Mueller that wasn't under attorney client privilege. Could be spin to though.

SO, while he hates all things liberal, and is a full on a conservatives POS, because of his position he was exposed to too much shit that he had no choice but to tell Mueller and company without risking his being charges, or losing capacity to be earn a living as an attorney moving forward.

(22,037 posts)McGahn was not Trump's personal lawyer. He was the president's lawyer and there is no privilege.
McGahn would have had to tell Robert Mueller everything he knew and witnessed. It's amazing that he was interviewed by the Special Counsel for over 30 hours yet no one at Trump's dysfunctional White House thought to debrief McGahn about the interviews.
Hey, Rudy! You kinda slipped up on that one, didn't you?

(7,632 posts)And I seriously doubt they are all that worried. Trump and his GOP have run roughshod over the rule of law with little consequence.
That is unless the Democratic House finds it's backbone real soon.
