(57,490 posts)This may feel like a dark chapter but any story has its highs and lows but it continues. Yes, we are in a low but we have been lower. We have had tougher times, we have had more to fear. We have lived through slavery, the Holocaust and segregation.
We have always come out at the other end better and stronger. We are moving in a direction of diversity and inclusion. No-one ever said it would be easy. We are just in the throes of the uneasy path of change.

(33,450 posts)she was wrong about "going high" when they "go low". We lost by taking that tack. We have to face reality.
We are demonstrably NOT "better and stronger" for the experience of having Asshole as POTUS, nor for the debacles and war crimes of the Bush the Lesser Presidency for that matter.
This is a "2 steps back" era; a time of Revanchist gains that could easily last 30 years, the remainder of my (and the Obama's) lifetime, while we wait for this high tide of White Resentment to subside/die off.

(16,147 posts)ROGER STONE gets the whole report, but Congress doesn't? When did this happen?

(36,220 posts)Stone's legal team filed today, under discovery and some other legal term, the entire unredacted Mueller Report because it contains material crucial to their defense.
And they can legally get it. Including the grand jury testimony. Judge Jackson will also get it, since she's handling the case.
EDIT: Oh, wait. It was also noted that Jackson can review the pertinent material. How much she allows them to use is up to her.
WaPo, Washington Examiner, Vox, Axios and Newsweek also report it.

(36,220 posts)immediately get the whole enchilada, too. Because an impeachment proceeding IS defined as a judicial proceeding, too.
A fairly new DU member posted about that fact about four days ago. It really didn't get much traction here, but I was jumping up and down -- it would be a KILLER move.
Nadler and committee might decide to conduct impeachment proceedings if they get further stalled.
Everything will be on the table.
Lawrence Tribe is quoted by the Washington Post about it. Here.

(36,220 posts)with operatives creeping out of the woodwork of previous administrations -- like that reptile, William Barr -- remind me of the final battle scene in Lord of The Rings, so many going on all at once...
I feel so much darkness over this democratic house.
Thus, my OP.
