In X many years, whether it's two or six, the erasure of Trump's existence will begin by the GOPricks. Like Bush and Cheney, he will never be mentioned or referred to again and the WORST part, THE WORST PART, is that the Democrats will allow this to happen and play along as long as we have someone we like in the WH. If someone dare mention his name or his crimes they will be dismissed or vilified as a dweller of the past.
This is how the Rethugs manage to reconstitute themselves after every one of their miscreants shows the American and International Public exactly what kind of thuggish creeps they are and then manage to crawl out from under the tons of debris which they piled upon themselves and the Public.
I can't stand it...

(66,434 posts)Reagan was a horrible human being. But many people of good will were taken in by the apple cheeks, the sunny, optimistic grin, the endearing befuddlement; he looked good in a tux, and went out two-stepping with his second and final wife. One had to dig a little deeper to find the vicious hater of the homeless, the mentally ill, single mothers, union leaders.
One doesn't need to expound on Trump's bottomless narcissism and vulgarity. The thing to concentrate on is the feverish, frenzied, flop-sweaty way his most demented followers have to idiot-splain how Trump is the greatest ever! It sounds more like they're trying to convince themselves instead of anyone with a functioning brain.

And somehow, we allow it to happen, over and over, including the re-vivification of BARR.

(28,125 posts)There were TONS of evidence that Bush, Jr./Cheney lied their f'n asses off re: the build-up to the Iraqi War. They LIED.
Still, Pelosi wouldn't advance impeachment against Bush/Cheney.
She said it'd tear this country apart.
The country is already torn and corrupted.
What's more important than truth, than rule of law?
Corruption seems to have little restraints in this country. And most of the broadcast press are complicit.
Just have impeachment investigations so to bring it all out, then gauge the reactions before proceeding with impeachment. What's to lose then? An impeachment investigation would give Dems even stronger investigative powers.
Btw, go Auntie Maxine!
