Interesting comments today... Don't bother to impeach, we'll vote him out, not many people care ...

about the Mueller report. Let's look at those separately.

"People" are saying don't impeach as it's too divisive, and it's a waste of time without the Senate. Well if they don't impeach, some people will never even bother to understand what this administration has done and how they didn't care how they won the Presidency, as long as they won.

Let's vote him out! That could happen, but there are a lot of disappointed people in the system that have just witnessed a lying reality star steal the White House and nobody did anything about it. They might not even bother to vote. Then there is the fact that the state legislatures and electoral college is already stacked in favor of the Republicans, so with a little last minute voter suppression, they could easily win again.

The third item is one that really jumped out at me. A DUer on here today remarked how they were amazed how the trending item on twitter had something to do with some song or something instead of all the commotion of our republic in turmoil, as not that many people, outside of us really care. Think about that. Think about our nation and think about how it was back in the Arab uprising when twitter was burning up.

Pretty sad...

3. Question

Do Democrats dismiss President Clinton's impeachment and point out that the Senate refused to remove him from office?

How do you think Trump supporters will react to Trump being impeached but McComnell refuses to call removal proceedings? Do you think Trump will play it up as a political hit job? What about the media? Do you believe the media will be sympathetic to the Democrats? Will an impeachment appear honorable or reactionary to the voters and will it gain Democrat votes?

These are ultimately the questions that must be answered and quite frankly given that we need to maintain the house, I agree that at this time we should not engage in impeachment proceedings. The chance of winning in the house is not guaranteed and the Senate is just not going to happen.

I am sorry if this upsets people but I chose to accept reality.

We (I) don't even think of it. I honestly feel he deserved it for his behavior. It wouldn't have bothered me if he was removed from office. I agree with that clip floating around of Lindsey Graham about the integrity of the office. I wish Lindsey still did. I did think the Starr investigation was a sham though. They weren't going to give up until they found something.

The way the media is playing this is it seems they like whatever brings in ad revenue. Of course tRumpers are going to consider it a hit job. They will probably demonstrate and become violent.

I think impeachment may gain Democrat votes, just from exposure and if not allowed to be taken up in Senate, even stiffen resolve.. If this is allowed to fade into the sunset with tRump taking his daily victory lap, more and more will become disheartened, especially as they suffer defeat with their favorite primary candidate. People can only tolerate so much losing before they give up and drop out.

I know I'm tired of this unexplained losing...
