I just got an e-mail from Al about a project he is Working on--filling a school library on the Leech Lake Reservation in Minnesota. As a lifelong reader and a former librarian I totally support his effort. Even if you are not in a position to donate take a look at the project. https://alfranken.com/read/books-for-bug-o-nay-ge-shig-school-in-leech-lake-mn

(54,369 posts)I'm currently getting flak on another thread because he isn't on the late night talk shows.
I miss his voice in the Senate greatly, but, he has been looking for something in which he would find fulfillment. I hope he finds it, wherever he ends up. If this is where it is, it's our loss, but his decision.

(42 posts)Just emailed them offering my (rather extensive) health issues library. Hopefully they will be able to use most of the books, however, even if they can only use 3 or 4 books, what a joy to be able to contribute this way.

(36,785 posts)Throw him off the project. I hear he spilled coffee on a book page - no respect.
No investigation needed.
Just blame him and get rid of him.
