Trump praises Lou Dobbs in WaPo profile: 'He really gets the word out'
President Trump showered praise on Fox Business Network host Lou Dobbs on Friday, indicating to reporters that he was largely in sync with Dobbs on issues of immigration and border security.
Trump spoke to The Washington Post for a profile on Dobbs, saying he listens to the Fox Business host's thoughts on border security, something the White House has emphasized as a major issue in recent months amid record numbers of migrants being apprehended for illegally crossing the border.
“Lou has a very strong opinion on the border, and I do listen to that opinion,” Trump told The Post.
“I think he respects what I’m doing, and I respect the job he does,” the president added. “He really gets the word out. There’s no question about it.”
