front page of one of the leading papers in "his" city--tabloid notwithstanding.

BTW, Newseum front pages hadn't updated last I checked yet, but I'd bet NYDaily News is not the only one to feature this. Obviously, my own home paper (Denver Post) is all about our horrific school shooting, but others will and even if they don't, WH correspondents will likely be aware, not only about the NYT story, but how "his" city is covering it.

my dad used to buy the NY Daily News in the Hartford, CT area (2 hours to NYC) to read Mike Lupica's sports columns back in the 70s and 80s, among other things.

So, it goes out to NYC, NY State, Connecticut and NJ at least.
