I think that his campaign simply did a better job than our side did in that regard in 2016. If he can elevate his vote by a few hundred votes by going to a place like that, there are so many of them that he can blunt the effect of our power in the cities. I hope in 2020, our General campaign makes a point of getting to places like that, President Obama did two times to great effect.

Agree Clinton's campaign wrote off places like this to concentrate on the vote rich areas, but after 40 years of non-stop attacks on her and Bill, there were a lot of voters who simply did not like her. It's not like the state didn't vote for Dems, we swept all the statewide row offices and picked up a couple of seats on the superior(?) court. With a better candidate, we'd have picked up Toomey's sentate seat, too. Last year, Casey and Wolf were easily re-elected, we picked up 5 CDs, 6 state senate seats and 11 state house seats. If Philadelphia had voted at the same rate as the lightly populated areas, she'd have won.

Trump is seriously unpopular here and has been for awhile, that's why he has to go to a tiny place like Montoursville.
