Not sure where the rules are but I remember that one.
I saw Jerry Nadler in CNN tonight. Constructive criticism...get some energy or step down? Thought he might fall asleep. Seemed dazed and confused. Told Cuomo he hadn't even heard of some big event that happened today.
We are in the fight of our lives. For our country's 'existence as we know it. I swear, if I or my friends, family, collegues thought I was off my game, I would respond and step aside.
Don't bother saying what a great leader and Dem he was/is or what Pelosi was/is. I know that!!! I have admired them for many years.
Don't waste your keystrokes with...they are the greatest and I defer to them. Try and talk about whether or not their strategy is working today, in the world of the monster president.

(115,681 posts)He fired off a long, thoroughly-researched letter to the DoJ today, and he probably pulled an all-nighter working on it (yes, I know they have staff attorneys who would have done most of the legwork), or at least supervising it. We don't know what's going on behind the scenes, but you can be sure damn sure they're not sitting around playing Candy Crush on their phones.

(17,984 posts)Meh, I think that's more along the lines of Nunes. Maybe a game like "Cows in Space": https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/cows-in-space/id330159662?mt=8
Note: every single one of the 16 ratings are from Nunes. It's pathetic!

(7,606 posts)tonight and it seems like a cult. Lots of infighting with us Dems. Somehow the political arena has turned into a "Survivor" series. My country, my state,my neighbors have all gone insane with this tribal BS. I just hope this madness comes to an end soon. I'm not sure that the internet has been such a positive things lately.
Does anyone else feel like this or am I smoking too much pot?

(42,770 posts)Trump accuses the FBI and Democrats of treason. He then has to pause as his fans chant, "lock them up!"
"We have a great new attorney general who will give it a very fair look," Trump says. 👀

(17,984 posts)Large crowds? How many were there o see Trump? I know he always exaggerates, they push people together to make the crowd look larger.
There is also the crowd who just love the free entertainment. The group that will flock to see anything as long as it is free. Enjoy listening to Trump rants and lies. They lap it up.also get bored and head out halfway through.
As the teach you in Seminary, 20 minutes, 25 at most, your audience loses interest. The hour, hour and a half rambling loses.

(4,575 posts)Rushed to it from someplace else. I thought he looked good. He didn't know about the news story because he was busy. He's clearly got his hands full. Cuomo's show comes on at 9 O'clock eastern and if you start at 8 or 9 in the morning that's a pretty long day. Not to mention he's probably got a pretty full schedule tomorrow too. I think tomorrow might be a turning point in this whole thing.

(4,575 posts)Show and confirmed that he and a group of Dems want to begin an impeachment inquiry if McGahn's a no show tomorrow. I believe he called Trump a lawless president.

(4,575 posts)Like the country to survive. It could take years for the courts to resolve some of these issues. We don't have that kind of time. Trump is irreperably harming this country every day he is in office. The Attorney General has far overstepped his bounds. He needs to be removed as well. He must not walk away from this unscathed.

(7,142 posts)thank god for the judges decision on Trump's accounting firm or the M$M will still be leading with abortion, Iran, and immigration, not that those topics aren't important. Trump will of course appeal the judge's decision but I am encouraged by the speed at which this case is proceeding and that is the #1 priority in bringing down Trump. Trump doesn't even want to win the court cases, he just needs them all delayed until after the election.
I feel that Nadler and the heads of other committees should be holding hearings every damn day. The notion that Dems have to worry about overreaching is bs. Subpoena Felix Sater, Corey Lewandowski; subpoena them all to control the freaking narrative.
This is why I have pushed for impeachment hearings. Anyone who says that impeachment hearings don't carry more clout than regular hearings isn't looking at reality. Impeachment hearings shouldn't carry more clout than regular hearings but Trump is refusing to turn over documents and ignoring subpoenas making everything decided in the courts which brings us full circle back to the courts expediting their decisions which Democrats have a better case to make under an impeachment hearing.
Democrats shouldn't just hold an impeachment hearing and then vote to impeach, they should drag out the hearing right up to election time, control the narrative, force the right wing M$M to cover impeachment.

(83,750 posts)Nancy has an uneven gate when she speaks as well. Their point is not missed by those that listen.
Obama did the same, he paused a lot. Bothered me at first because I was then and have always been his #1 supporter. Finally figured out that he was actually pausing before he answered to THINK before he answered the question.

(42,770 posts)you mention are the antithesis of trump. In my view, the flip side to that is that there are times that call for more urgency, more passion/fire. Otherwise, people move along thinking everything is ok. (Russia interferance in election comes to mind).
I talked to a republican friend the other day, one who isn't crazy. He said, the fact that Dems didn't respond with great urgency when the Mueller report came out signaled to him that they didn't think there was any there there.
No one wants a pants on fire every day prez..for sure. But sometimes it is warranted.

(13,569 posts)Many of the other House Dems are more strategic and better communicators than Nadler. Schiff is outstanding.
Gotta say, though, that the letter sent under Nadler's name to McGahn is excellent. Firm and forceful and very well reasoned.
I'm sure that staff wrote it, but it is a solid statement with Nadler's signature.

(42,770 posts)mention Trump - just talk about what you believe in.". Ugh. Never before has there been a better opponent to be punched in the mouth, like you say. Think you can do both. And should.
Find out what repukes don't like about him a get some zingers. Know they don't like his tweeting. And, they are appalled at his treatment of children at border. What about him saying he wouldn't golf? $$ costing taxpayers for him to go to Mara Lago?
The gold mine though, in my mind, is still his stripping of regulations. "Why did you remove regulation X, Mr President? That regulation protected the water that kids from Michigan swim in ?"
