Praiseworthy provisions of Canada's charter

Check this out:

Canadian citizens are responsible for:

Serving on jury when reaching the age of majority, and if selected.
Obeying Canada's laws.
Respecting the rights and freedoms of others.
Helping others in the community.
Caring for and protecting the Canadian heritage and environment.
Eliminating discrimination and injustice.


So stated in the Rights and Responsibilities of Canadian citizens as enumerated in the Charter.

Too bad our own founding documents can't be amended to this standard.

It's a pretty cool document. 'Course, it became law only in 1982, so we had a couple hundred years of history to figure out what we wanted in it.

Harper's agenda has already been attacking all of the above, with the exception of jury-duty. Seriously; the supreme court will be busy for years trying to restore order, assuming that they're not all of his hand picked cronies by then.
