The Hill says Trump's approval rating is at highest point in two years (Harvard survey)

President Trump’s job approval rating is the highest it’s been in two years, boosted by voter optimism about the economy, according to the latest Harvard CAPS/Harris Poll survey.

The survey found that 48 percent approve of the job Trump is doing, compared to 52 percent who said they disapprove. That’s up from 45 percent approval in March. The last time the president’s job approval rating reached 48 percent in the Harvard CAPS/Harris Poll survey was in June of 2017.

Trump appears to be getting a lift from the economy, with a record 62 percent approving of his approach to employment and 59 percent approving of his handling of the economy.

While only 39 percent of voters said the country is on the right track, 51 percent said the economy is heading in the right direction. Seventy-one percent of voters said the economy is very strong or somewhat strong.

“People’s views on the economy are gradually pushing Trump’s numbers up and his actions on other issues like China and immigration are neutral to positive,” said Mark Penn, the co-director of the Harvard CAPS/Harris Poll survey. “Every point of increase in this range of 45 to 50 improves the possibility of re-election.”

As such a large percentage of the USA won’t read, my prediction is Diaper Donnie is going to lose half his base after Mueller testifies on prime time.

So, much of that was in the survey.

Truthfully, I don't see Mueller's wishy-washy comments making much difference. Everything he said was right there in his wishy-washy report, and most of it was right there in Barr's summary on 3/24/2019.

Hope I'm wrong, but I think it will be like one of the white wing ladies they interviewed on Friday said, "I did not realize Mueller did not exonerate trump, but I'm voting for trump in 2020 anyway."

I’ve got a copy of the report. It is an indictment: Trump is Putin’s stooge. That’s the sad and terrifying fact. Unfortunately, going by the GOP town hall in Michigan, many if not most, of Diaper Donnie’s loyal base have no clue that is what Mueller found.

Getting Mueller to make that crystal clear on live television will incinerate Drumpf for history, let alone 2020. If Congress investigates thoroughly, we may uncover evidence denied to Mueller and follow leads outside his purview.

As long as Donald Trump remains in office, he is our problem — democracy’s problem — America’s problem. Hearing Mueller make that point clear that the President of the United States is beholden to a foreign power on national tv may penetrate the thick skulls of a few who now support the Bankrupt Unstable Moron. Certainly would go a long way of convincing “the Middle” that the Democrats are correct in their judgment.

I don't believe it. Never. He is the most hated man in the nation. I simply will not believe that there are that many stupid people in this country.

It’s all made up to keep the divisive horse race going. I believe he has a die hard following, but that’s all he has. No one who isn’t a Trumpophile is going to become one now.

And this “booming economy” crap is a myth. Only the very rich are benefitting and happy. There may be plenty of jobs, but the pay isn’t better than it used to be. And plenty of people are losing their jobs.
