Morgan Stanley sees global recession 'in three quarters' if Trump escalates trade war

Investors are overlooking the threat posed by the U.S.-China trade war, which could send the global economy into recession in less than a year, according to a research note published Sunday by Morgan Stanley.

My only concern is that he's getting desperate and may not back down this time. He needs to retain office to stay out of jail and he may go all in eventually on some lame long shot like this stupid Mexico brain fart.

it just isn't in his DNA. Trump thrives on brinksmanship. He wants everyone to think he's crazy and willing to cripple our country to get his way, and they would be right.

Trump doesn't have it in his character to admit when he's made a bad decision. He will never confess to making a bad decision. He would rather see the US slide into another Great Recession and drag the rest of the world down with him, than lose face by admitting he's made a terrible mistake in judgement.
