... program today. If you missed the comments by Robert Costa and Nick Confessore, they are in the first 22 minutes, before the first commercial break. The entire hour was awfully good, but this just shook me.
They said what we've all been saying, that DT is horrible wherever he goes and whoever he's with. Right there at the graveyard he gave an interview with Laura Ingraham that was utterly inappropriate. Then he gave his prepared remarks, written by someone else, that could get a passing grade.
But look again. The US President did not talk about Europe, where all this carnage took place. He didn't call out our enduring alliances. He talked about America. America's "sovereignty."
Costa and Confessore said it did not sink to the level of some of his nakedly nationalistic and isolationist language, but it was very much there. It was "a requiem for our ... alliances."

(82,849 posts)He didn't drool or fall over, so maybe this is The Pivot, finally? As the day wears on (and they said it was The Longest Day in 1944!), it seems the initial spasm of support has faded badly.

(6,794 posts)that are on in the morning on MSNBC. Then in the afternoon sanity begins to creep in and Nicole Wallace is the first in line. I presume Ali Velshi also showed some sanity. MSNBC is not watchable in the morning.

(3,115 posts)Why is she even on? They were all so busy jacking off on Dump's "reset." I almost trashed my television.

(3,115 posts)But respectfully, to give that orange fuck a reset today is too much to bear. He is foul. He dragged his entire family to Europe on our dime. And he's a ridiculous asshole.
