TRUMP CAMPAIGN STILL HASN'T PAID $470K BILL FOR FEBRUARY MAGA RALLY IN EL PASO: REPORT

Donald Trump's campaign still hasn't paid an overdue $470,417.05 bill for the president's Make America Great Again rally that was held in El Paso in February.

Trump and former Texas congressman Beto O'Rourke (D), who officially announced his 2020 presidential campaign in March, held two distinctly opposing rallies on the same February night in the Texas border city. Since the event ended, O'Rourke paid the entire amount — $28,630.50 — owed to the city before his bill was due on May 24. Meanwhile, Trump's campaign still owes El Paso $470,417.05, ABC News reported on Monday. The president's invoice was due on April 26, according to the 29-page document obtained by ABC-7.

The March 27 invoice, sent to Donald J. Trump for President, Inc., consisted of fees from six departments: $6,286.57 was owed to El Paso's Police Department, $60,630.84 to the Fire Department, $15,577.52 to Sun Metro, $6,286.57 to the Department of Aviation and $528 to the Health Department.
----
Michael Glassner, chief operating officer for the Trump campaign, suggested El Paso has overcharged his team for the rally and said they are currently "reviewing" the invoice.

It looks like the City of El Paso is going to get "Trumped".

Donnie doesn't have to pay all those brown city officials. They probably help immigrants get into his country!

They signed the agreement , and now want to claim the charges aren't right, but trump overcharged the government for tons of things they've been forced to pay for at trump businesses. It doesn't matter what the charges are , they signed the agreement to pay their fee's, period, and will be charged more if they refuse to pay them soon. All vendors for his rally's should make him pre pay all fee's up front because of this. That's why the American bankers stopped loaning him money, he wouldn't pay it back. That's what crooks and con men do. He's probably billions in debt, with hidden accounts offshore and overseas.

Like the one I have at Lowes and all of the suppliers I used when I
was contracting. I would get a small, maybe 5% discount for early
payment, then penalties at 30 days overdue and more at 60 and 90 days.
I always got the discount.

"It's better than nothing" is Trump's favorite barter term.

The campaign team was probably frustrated that taxpayers weren't somehow liable.

They say 6 depts bill campaign but 5 of them add up to 85K so what's the dept that charged 385K and for what?
I know Presidential security is higher but the EPPD bill is only 6K.
This does seem like a large bill in my experience in venue rentals/event promotion over the years.
As scandals go people already know Trump's a deadbeat and this one feels like it muddies the waters in his favor.

Beto O'Rourke pays bill for El Paso rally, Donald Trump still owes $470,000
Aaron Montes, El Paso Times Published 4:03 p.m. MT June 3, 2019

(snip)
But the Trump campaign remains quiet on when it intends to pay the city of El Paso. Trump's campaign did not immediately respond to questions by the El Paso Times.

"It shows a lack of concern for the community and the tax paying voters of El Paso," said city rep. Alexsandra Annello. "President Trump has in many ways, over the last year, put a financial burden on this community and has yet to show us the respect we deserve. It is clear that our borderland is not a priority of the president."

Shown there is the main invoice which shows the bulk of cost is for police coverage at $381,000.

Why the hell should cities struggling to provide crucial services pay the cost of political rallies?.... ........

Sets a precedent for any Dem municipality to demand payment in full up front. If he refuses, tRump can do his own thing with zero support from the municipality's resources and assets.

By now, everyone in America should know the Number One Rule for dealing with Donald Trump: "Cash Up Front."

If that corksucker doesn't pay you in advance, there's a 50-50 chance he won't pay you at all and at least a 90 percent chance he won't pay in full.
