<snip>
"The owner of Chick-fil-A in Westfield Countryside Mall in Clearwater, Florida has been charged with molesting a teen girl, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.
Detectives arrested and charged Heather Matuszek, 32, of Dunedin, with two felony counts of lewd and lascivious molestation. They say Matuszek has admitted to two occasions of the alleged abuse, which the victim said happened in 2014 when Matuszek was a youth leader at Clearwater Community Church."
The incidents happened outside of the church setting, investigators said, adding contact between leaders and youths outside of the church is not uncommon.
According to her victim, who was 15 years old at the time, Matuszek, then 28, slept in the victims bed two separate nights."

All you have to do is declare yourself a Christian, and they will trust you implicitly.

The age of the victims & their influence with their church and its leaders, might allow this activity to flourish.

(51,308 posts)That was my sisters first job in high school back in the day.
Trust me on this, my pot smoking, hell raising sister was NOT religious. Nor were her trouble-making little co-workers.

Your sister must be the exception, because back in the day, it was really pushed.
And if you go there now, it's the same. Just enough to skirt hiring practices. I don't think you can be a manager without going to their facility for training, and while yes, there are probably a few Non-Baptist managers--most aren't. Now, they all parrot the "My pleasure" phrase whenever you ask anything.

Right-wing bubble tribalism at its finest.
What's going on in the basements of these Chick-fil-As all over the U.S.?......

(12,535 posts)I think the ownership keeps their personal beliefs apart from the business operations.
I used to do tech work for the company HQ years ago & probably visited 200+ locations. They've been known for having the best employees & customer service among fast food for years.

(51,308 posts)Im not much for fast food, but my company used to bring in Chick-Fil-A occasionally for lunch.
The times Ive gone there voluntarily in the past, no matter the line in the drive-thru, you never wait long.
They have excellent customer service. A shame about their LGBTQ stance.
