SHITLER does it over "nothing* yet SHITLER calling somebody lying under oath is nothing?
We have a running count of SHITLER's 8K+ lies, what about the number of lawsuits he's involved in?

(12,265 posts)That may make him testify when he realizes Trump has no loyalty, while he expects it from all of those around him, he does not have the ability to be loyal himself. He would throw is Mother under the bus.

Crooked Donald. He loves the judges they picked together and probably shares the same philosophy. He protected his President as long as he could... I'm not sure he would be anxious to stop the MAGA train.

(328 posts)Josh Marshall points out that McGahn's whole career is based on services to the Republican party. He may not think much of Trump, but he is likely to push back to a Republican president, no matter what, so as to preserve his career.

(11,495 posts)Is gather all the dirt they can on anyone they think is an "enemy". I am sure Putin does the same thing. I think a whole lot of the people that surround trump have been compromised by trump and the Russians. They are so afraid to have "something" come out they tow the line, no matter what they really think about trump.

(22,060 posts)Talking Points Memo's Josh Marshall has the best explanation:
The answer is as clear as it is depressing.
First, everyone knows that Trump is lying. Everyone. So theres no sense that McGahn needs to vindicate his professional reputation by making clear or insisting that his testimony was truthful. Theres no downside because everyone knows Trump is lying.
Second, McGahn is a professional Republican. Hes not a big time lawyer at a white shoe law firm who often works for Republicans or happened to work for Trump. Hes a professional Republican campaign lawyer at the top of his field. His business and career is working for the Republican party. At some level he probably just doesnt want to testify because as mad as he may be at Trump he still supports what Trumps doing politically. But the bigger issue is that he probably fears that if he cooperated with House investigators his career would be over. And hes probably right.
