...the 71 days from Election Day 2020 to #46's Inaugration on 1/20/21. Trump act like the low rent tenant that he is and trash anything he can get his hands on before (in his mind) being unfairly evicted at noon on 1/20/21.

Ya hear stories about what happens to rental properties and the things that people do on the way out the door when they're pissed at the landlord. Cement in the plumbing, melted laminate countertops, raw sewage all over...the kind of stuff that can take months for a landlord to repair.

Now, shift to a national scale and it's stunning to thing what he, Mnuchin, Pompeo, Bolton, Jared...imagine the chaos that can dump on it.

I look forward to explosion but it's going to be like passing a national kidney stone. Very painful in the moment but ultimately necessary.

Remember why we dumped bin Laden in the ocean...so his gravesite didn't become an homage for his followers. For the same reason, when he loses...he's not going away. When you think about every "tradition" he's violated as a president, he'll be as non-traditional as an ex-president. None of this fading into the woodwork to paint watercolors for him...he's going to be running his own shadow government, inciting violence against his "enemies" via twitter and it's going to be a f'ing mess. While I agree that he should be incarcerated, I'm not sure that running that shadow government from a cell doesn't just inflame the faithful even more.

I ain't "ancient" but I hope to god I live to see the country get back on reasonable footing after this asshat's plundering. Could be decades.
