Tom ("Did I forget to beat my dog today?" ) Cotton is saying: "If history has taught us anything, it's taught us that Iran's recent unprovoked attacks on commercial shipping warrant military strikes of the most unambiguous nature. . . . This was Vietnam's lesson in The Gulf of Tonkin and Iraq's lesson with their WMDs. . . . If we don't learn from history, Margaret, we'll be condemned to repeat it."

(16,076 posts)Cotton is from Arkansas not Arizona, you might want to make that correction!
And history has shown that the Gulf of Tonkin incident was faked...created to give the US a reason to enter the Vietnam conflict...which means that Cotton is an idiot...and a liar!!!
