Historian Allan Lichtman is the top-of-show interview guest.

Columnist Dr. Debra Soh is the mid-show interview guest.

The roundtable guests are journalist Thom Hartmann, political consultant Liz Mair and columnist Dan Savage.

Although he will still have his usual sausage fest of ZERO women writers and only 1 female producer out of 10--and all of the writes and producers are white.l

He speaks out like nobody else! But you're right, it's usually only one woman. Sometimes he has a woman for his mid show guest, but it would be nice to have a woman as his initial interview.

I don't want it to seem like I'm attacking you, just to be clear. My problem is exclusively with Maher and the system that makes the sick gender dynamics of his show not only acceptable, but normal. My apologies for threadjacking

And you're right, it's usually only one token female guest. The only introductory female interview I can remember was Barbra Streisand. And I wish that he had more than one strong female guest on the panel. My favorites are Joy Reid and Rachel Maddow, but then that's just me.

He'll probably try to filibuster the show with references to all the books he has on the market.
