Kevin M. Kruse RetweetedProbably uncouth to say this, but its been patently obvious for a couple months that Democrats arent going to get any meaningful factual testimony at all using these tactics and likely need to grab someone up and put him in a borrowed cell to change the prevailing winds.

Robert Mueller finished his investigation three months ago. Since then, House Dems have secured public testimony from zero0fact witnesses and have sought to enforce subpoenas against zero0fact witnesses who have stiffed them in one way or another.

They're also going by the book to make a stronger case of contempt of Congress in court.
Personally, I don't think going by the book will work because the Trumpies have thrown out the rulebook, on one hand. On the other hand, Trump's repeated obstruction of Congress will likely backfire on him because every time he stonewalls Congress by obstructing their proceedings, the clock pauses AFAIK.
