Nearly half of Trumplicans believe it's okay to discriminate.

In a disturbing new poll, the Public Religion Research Institute finds that “while at least two thirds of Americans oppose allowing small business owners to refuse products or services to minority groups based on their religious beliefs, a small but increasing proportion of Americans think it should be permissible to turn away customers based on their sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, or race.”

As one might expect, the big uptick in those willing to refuse service comes among Republicans, but Democrats aren’t immune from the trend to declare that one’s religion permits discrimination against others. “From 2014 to 2019, the partisan gap on this issue has dramatically increased. Nearly half (47%) of Republicans favor such a policy, which is more than double the 21% who favored the policy in 2014. By contrast, today only 18% of Democrats and 24% of independents support these kind of religiously based service refusals. These numbers are also an increase from 2014, when only 11% of Democrats and 16% of independents agreed.”

If you don't stop them from enslaving, cheating, murdering, assaulting, well you have been conquered, and that is on you.

The arrogance is astounding.

Russia. Many Americans love to hate, persecute and discriminate. It's been that way since day one and not the benevolent country kid's history books make it out to be. Sure, definitely not the worst, not the worst at all. IMO it's endemic to the human species. That does not excuse it, we could do far better.

are cruel by nature, and compassion is a learned process . The Human Pecking Order is alive and well sorry to say. In my opinion,I found it was Religion that fostered these hatred and anti Ideals as a method of keeping a myth alive and the collection plates moving down the pews.

nine yards until I went to College, damn,it is wonderful to study the real purpose of Religion and how it is used by the Landed Gentry to control the ignorant masses. Our as I discovered,it is nothing more than a Crutch.

... but so many work so hard to make it a perpetual hate fest filling it with their bigotry and hatefulness. The persecution fostered by religion is outrageous.

The rise of intolerance is something we should all acknowledge and work against. Sadly, there are those who should be fighting against the trend, but are too busy making excuses for it not being true.
