and it will and must say Yes Collusion and Yes Obstruction. Period.
Get your UNIFIED press release ready to launch simultaneously from every Dem press office. FLOOD THE ZONE with OUR message. Have your short, pithy talking points ready NOW. Show emotion. Show outrage. Have your words ready.
Don't meekly flounder and dither after the testimony standing around with your thumbs up your nose while the GOP spin machine launches an F5 tornado of lies at you, the media and the public. That tornado is coming. You must be prepared to fight it with something even bigger.
No matter what happens at that hearing, you CAN and you MUST grab the PR bull by the horns and FORCE YOUR MESSAGE OUT REGARDLESS.
Take a page from the Bill Barr playbook.
Write the conclusion first, before all else. Write it now.
We can't afford to play nice and paint by the numbers. Plus we're right.
I took this from somewhere - sorry I can't remember where right now but:
Missed opportunity talking point: "The Mueller Report is a smoking gun."
Missed opportunity talking point: "The GOP is the #CoverUpCaucus."
Can we get it right this time please. This is important.

(54,770 posts)too often in an attempt to bolster the messangers political ambitions is a waste of time.
Unless Mueller surprises us with something new, I like your recommendation of characterizing the Mueller Report as a smoking gun. That report, being as wishy washy as it is, doesnt get close to trumps violation of his oath, dereliction of duty, undermining foreign relations, encouraging racism, nepotism, emoluments, etc.

(36,461 posts)they have let hate radio go unchallenged for 35 years. They don't seem to value framing the debate, or capturing the narrative. I wish someone in dem leadership had read George Lakoff's "Moral Politics" back when it came out. It would still help, but they are far behind the 8-ball in framing, or marketing if you will. The dems are good at policy but suck at politics & they don't seem to recognize there's a difference.
his attempts to gently teach them what to do have apparently been rebuffed. for decades.
