...at the House hearing?
Is truth so far gone that it cannot be recovered? People have already made up their minds?
Have lies, deceptions, and corruption become the "norm"?
Somebody is dragging their feet on this. Is it the Legislature or is it the Courts? Or is it both?
There needs to be some sort of resolution. Perhaps Robert Mueller can supply that?
If not, we are looking at another corrupt election, in my opinion.
Why not just declare Putin the President and get it over with? Trump has the "blueballs" from the vise Putin has on him.
Would you be surprised if he announces that his company has negotiated a deal with Russia to build a Trump Tower in Moscow?
Nothing is below this bunch.

(7,142 posts)Democrats better come prepared. This may be the most important time in our democracy. Speaker Pelosi better get her people prepared. No repeating the same questions numerous times. There will be times because of the 5 minute time limit that follow up will be needed.
Democrats can blow this if they don't ask the right questions. They need to rehearse and plan out their questions.
Nadler and Schiff need to be ready to keep order, to tamp down the Freedumb caucus members who will try to make the hearings a circus.
My worry is that Democrats don't come prepared.

(63,849 posts)the ball is in the Congress's court, and so we should be on Congress to do their part, also McConnell plays a big part in this. He is an accomplice to the crimes he has committed with this POS tRump. I hope their greed chokes them.

(63,849 posts)and his Team preformed a function to supply a report which he did (those he questioned lied or flat out did not answer), but the Congress has the authority and the tools to go further. We have a corrupt Repig Congress and Speaker, but damn the House must do this, and we must push them to do it.
Everyday tRump pushes illegal and authoritarian traits. Even today he was yukking it up with Putin and calling for to get rid of journalists, and mocking the election by saying don't interfere with the election and laughing and smiling about it. And its okay to acceptlng dirt in a election on their competitor. How much more are we going to take????
He is laughing in our faces and will push more each day to dismantle us until he shreds everything we believe our country is and what it is meant to be.
He gives his allegiance to Putin and he has proved that numerous times. My rant is over.

(56,828 posts)millions of people that can't or won't take the time to read the report will watch Mueller testify live on TV. Even if he just repeats what is in the repeat, it will have an impact.
Remember, a few months ago (seems like forever now) when Michael Cohen testified - almost every Republican except Justin Amash ceded their time to Gym Jordan, who spent the entire time attacking Cohen and not defending Trump. Cohen came across as sober and credible. Cohen is the guy that was derided before that as having graduated from the worst law school in the country.
Mueller has more gravitas in his little finger than Cohen has in his entire body and is several levels above Cohen in terms of his resume and educational background. I don't think he'll have a problem handling a circus from the GOP

(5,526 posts)A written report is ignored by 75% of the Country. What most people think they know about it is colored by what has been on video which is Barr and Trump proclaiming victory.
Even the statements that Mueller put out there when he retired made an impact. And that was scripted to be as careful as possible.
I have no doubt that Mueller will continue to be careful. But it will be much more directed with questioning. The Democrats better come with the right questions. The GOP will attempt to derail the whole thing and make enough noise to steel the headlines. But I don't think it will work.
I don't know if it will be enough to turn the tide. But I do believe it will be enough to silence the "just move on" crowd and justify pushing towards more investigation.
My personal feeling is that we will be at impeachment in 6 months but everything that is happening now is necessary to build towards that.

(53 posts)Bring in professional staffers that will have the expertise to formulate the type of questions that Mueller will have to respond to. That is why Barr refused to go before congress if they used staffers for questioning. They are much tougher and experienced.
