NK is totally dependent on Chinese support. And China views NK as a useful diversionary asset for geopolitical shenanigans.

Trump will not give Kim one cent, and China is his umbilical cord, which, if severed, would mean Kim is dog meat within hours.

Kim just has to tell Trump what a tactical genius he is for giving China whatever it wants, and Trump will do it--not because the Chinese asked him to, but because such a major world strategist as Kim Il Sung's grandson told him so.
