Rachel did an excellent hair on fire segment on her show last night about this intentional sabotage of not only peer reviewed scientific research into the negatives impact of the climate crisis on the worlds food supply and the reduction of nutrients, she also enlightened us about the firing of all the scientists in order to gut the agencys ability to perform cutting edge research for decades. This move has Putins fingerprints all over it

(7,142 posts)I shop at local markets that grow their own food. I ran into a young man who is going to try to start up his father's farm again. He told me that these GMO foods not only are sprayed with Roundup but they can grow in dead soil. In other words, according to him, not only is there poison in the GMO food but there are no nutrients.
My wife and I and my daughter's family only buy from local markets or buy organic foods. Organic and home grown foods taste so much better too.

I heard a report yesterday that said climate change is causing rice to become much less nutritious. Since it is the staple for 60% of the worlds' diet, its one more huge problem.
