It's not even a redefinition, they're moving to a different calculus altogether..."natural rights" based on "natural law". "Human rights" spring from government, based on the societal contract, "natural rights" are inherent, based on "natural law". Which is a. a far more limited set in any case and b. tends to depend on what the author defines as "natural".
