Give It a Fucking Rest, GOP

Seriously, I think it’s time for you Republicans to stop wasting your breath defending the indefensible.

Your “pResident’s” entire administration is so blatantly, in-your-face corrupt, any attempts to deny it at this point are as useful as tits on a fish.

We understand that in the early days, you had to do what you had to do – like dismissing Trump’s obvious incompetence as his being ‘new to the job’, and laughing off his lies as a harmless tendency to exaggerate.

In fact, it was almost entertaining watching you try to cover for his inadequacies with a wave of the hand and the attitude that “he’s not really stupid, he just looks that way.”

But things quickly moved from covering-up a ludicrous claim to the biggest inauguration in history to covering-up the reality of children locked in filthy cages, the fact that corruption is rife within this administration, and the truth that your “pResident’s best people” are well-known criminals.

I’m not sure you understand just how ridiculous you look these days, smiling into the cameras as you insist that your “pResident” didn’t say what he just said, and didn’t do what he just did. This is especially true of the clueless crew that show up on the TV news shows day after day, Trump-‘splaining how the Mueller report says exactly what it doesn’t say, and why a completely innocent man continues to do everything in his power to hide his tax returns, his financial records, and anything else that would lead to the exposure of his probable crimes.

And precisely what is the point of pretending that a man, who stated just days ago that we won the Revolutionary War by shutting down the airports, isn’t a moron? What purpose is served by continuing this pretence that he is accomplishing anything other than destroying our democracy because he’s nothing more than a treasonous buffoon?

The 4th of July disaster was the perfect display of this charade: dismal attendance, a speech that drove home Trump’s ignorance and abject stupidity, rusty old tanks that couldn’t be seen by the crowd they were supposed to impress, a rain-drenched Melania being her B-Cup Best, fireworks that were more smoke than substance – in short, a total waste of taxpayer money spent to salve the ego of an idiotic madman.

All that was missing was a 21-gun salute to Putin, Kim, and MBS, and Ivanka inappropriately showing up in yet another place where she’s not wanted and doesn’t belong.

So let’s cut the crap, Republicans. Do yourselves – and the country – a favour and just shut the fuck up. No one is buying your bullshit.

The only people who believe your “pResident’s” declaration that what they’re seeing and hearing isn’t what’s actually happening are the MAGAts, who are simply too dumb to know better.

Your statements are now pointless, and no one with any intelligence whatsoever, or even just plain ol’ common sense, believes a word you say. So I would suggest you stop wasting everyone’s time, and restrict your appearances to FOX-News, where the brain-dead gather of an evening to get their misinformation, complete with all the fixin’s.

You’d be best served appealing exclusively to them, because no one else is listening.

The truth is that there is no better example of “fake news” than you.

So they'll never give it a rest. They didn't buy every AM station, start FoxNews, and have Sinclair buy a broadcast station in every major market in the nation to stop now. They learned from Putin: there are no consequences for lying, no matter how transparent or ludicrous the lie.

I admire your passion, but millions of Flibberdigibbets buy their crap - all day long.

Millions more buy the "both sides are the same" crap that serves their purposes just as well.

We're in deep shit.

That's what the Republicans are doing now - the problem being that the choir they're preaching to doesn't watch legitimate news shows.

At this point, GOPers spewing their propaganda on any network other than FOX-News is akin to running ads for air conditioners in the South Pole Gazette.

They know that their base is always going to be smaller than ours. The problem is that they have an entire media ecosystem that they can utilize to insulate their base. You may have seen clips of Trump supporters who seem insane and stupid in their claims. Like you said, they watch Fox and listen to right wing radio. They are a smallish group of about 30 to 45 million people. Then there are the ones who are Republican and claim to be "independent" but vote Republican 90% of the time because "the Democrats just didn't reach me...this time"

They rely on cheating with gerrymandering, voter suppression, and depressing the turnout so that they do not need a real majority to win elections.

I completely agree with what you said in your post, but the Republicans are not interested in a "battle of ideas" They will do whatever they need to do to win and that is why we need to mobilize our greater numbers (but less motivated) of people to vote them out.

So true! It is sometimes shocking to me that 40 percent of the US population are so dumb and so easily manipulated! I have come to believe that the reason they love the Orange Buffoon, is that he is exactly like them. 2020 can't come soon enough..

The average IQ is 100. That means that 50% of the population will always be less than average.

A think a lot of it is hatred and a desire just to "stick it" to someone. And greed too- they don't care so long as the bank account & portfolio continues to grow.

It’s going to have to be wrenched from them. We need safeguards in place to protect our votes and then every Democrat in the country had better stick together and vote those bastards out before they strangle the life out of this country.

How I enjoy reading your posts...

The only thing I don't like, at all, is that the entire country doesn't seem to have a chance to read what you write, I send the links out, but I am just preaching to the choir.

Thank you
