There is no permission for him to leave, no one else can enter without prior approval of the court, and there is someone getting paid to live there whose job it is to report any violations.

It's kind of a long list. It's in English. So, it's worth reading for yourself.

This guy might be going to prison for the rest of his life and he'll be headed to the airport as soon as he's released.

But it might be difficult to trot off to the airport when you have an ankle monitor, your own planes have been grounded, you are on a no-fly list, and you have made a waiver to any objection to extradition from any foreign country.

Condition 1 includes "medical appointments" as approved by Pretrial Services.

I'd want to tighten that up, so he doesn't head out for his daily therapeutic massage appointment.

Does this hypothetical other criminal own a home in which they can be kept in isolation from people other than an approved list of visitors?

Can this hypothetical other criminal put up millions of dollars worth of property as a surety?

that the only thing the attorney forgot was "Choir Boy" in regards to how wonderfully pure and innocent Epstein has been over the past 14 years...certainly no threat to flee.

Right!

He sold one of his jets in June? His brother and friends (I assume) will sign over their homes, along with Epstein doing the same with his $77M mansion in New York in the event he takes a trip?

Let's save all that paperwork and deny house arrest. I'm sure he wouldn't want all that hardware on his ankles, anyway. Such a bother and all.

What a pile of B.S.

Hasn't Stone violated his court mandate three times without repercussion?

There are reasons I do not trust this at home detention.

Stone's issues are about public communications, and not with whatever his geographical restrictions might be.

None of them failed to appear for court proceedings.

Pre-trial detention is not punitive, and the general provisions of the Eighth Amendment put the burden on the government to show that the danger to the community or flight risk provide no alternative.

but no trips over there, so I must have conflated him and Page.

Still doesn't mean I have to like Epstein's mansion detention.
