<snip>
Federal law as enforced by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission counts discrimination based on nation of origin as one of several kinds of prohibited discrimination.

One example the EEOC lists on its website matches nearly word-for-word the President’s tweets.

“Examples of potentially unlawful conduct include insults, taunting, or ethnic epithets, such as making fun of a person’s foreign accent or comments like, “Go back to where you came from.”

Highlighting the EEOC’s language Tuesday, Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA) wrote, “The President’s bigoted words are so contrary to who we are as a country that we literally have laws against them.

...is complete electoral disaster. Right now they know they'll pay a price for defying Trump and the foaming Republican base, so they knuckle under. Occasionally some will feel the need to rise from prostrate position to on their knees to mumble a mild complaint, but it never lasts more than a day and they get back all the way down as soon as possible.

They won't act until they know they'll pay a price with the rest of the electorate if they keep doing that.

Immigrants' Employment Rights Under Federal Anti-Discrimination Laws

Harassment Based on National Origin

Ethnic slurs and other verbal or physical conduct because of nationality are illegal if they are severe or pervasive and create an intimidating, hostile or offensive working environment, interfere with work performance, or negatively affect job opportunities. Examples of potentially unlawful conduct include insults, taunting, or ethnic epithets, such as making fun of a person's foreign accent or comments like, "Go back to where you came from, " whether made by supervisors or by co-workers.

If all you understood, after two years of daily proof, that they don't give a Holy shit about laws, regulations, protocols, the constitution, rules of law, etc.

AND THEY DON'T HAVE TO.....they totally own the Repubs in the Senate, the DOJ, the Supreme Court, the presidency, the appellate courts and judges, etc etc

During the Cheney presidency, a Republican staffer said: We do and you just get out of our way and watch....Period.....
