The administration are introducing new rules today with powers to fast track the deportation of migrants. Undocumented migrants will face immediate deportation. Migrants must be able to prove a 2 year living status within hours or be fast tracked out of the US.
Show us your papers. If you are unfortunate enough not to be carrying them with you .... get out. Across the county - deportation within hours without any recourse to appeal. You do not need to be undocumented, you just need to not be carrying your documents... you will have to prove in a matter of hours what your status is or your entire life will be forever changed, deported to a place you do not recognise as home
One of the reasons this bollocks of an administration is saying they need to do this is that there is a humanitarian crisis on the border because of the log jam in processing asylum claims, Are you actually fucking kidding me? This disconnect BURNS. Of course what the Trump administration could do is release people and ask them to turn up for court when they need to do. But that will never happen because this racist, white supremacist, xenophobic, nativist wanker is so obsessed with the idea of getting deportation figures up and getting as many brown people as possible out of the US.
The context is clear. He lied to the rabid base in 2016 about a border wall that is undeliverable. 2020 is round the corner and his base love this racist nasty bollocks which will tear families apart. Not only families that may be undocumented, not anymore...
It goes without saying that this does not just mean undocumented migrants will be targeted. You brown and live in the US? Your family goes back 400 years? Better be carrying your papers to be on the safe side.
Prediction: The administration will determine that a whole bunch of citizens and non citizens are not worthy of staying in the USA. They will not be able to deport many of them to anywhere as either, they will have no original documentation about where they come from, or the USA will not be able to demonstrate enough ties of the deportee to that country for the country to be willing to accept them as a citizen of that country. You know what happens then? They will build camps to keep them in until they can sort it all out....
