The despicable treatment the M$M is giving to Mueller testimony. Spinning the style and calling the whole thing disastrous. Im glad Colbert called Chris Wallace out on this.

(7,620 posts)They realize that most Americans are waiting on someone to tell them how to think and if they can dictate the narrative in order to create or perpetuate controversy then it is to their financial advantage.
I'm NOT saying it is "Fake News" but it is definitely a planned attempt to get people to watch the news cycle and if that means creating controversy then they are happy to oblige. Ever notice how the local news will give you some "bait" to get you to continue watching their newscast?
I think the vast majority of voters in America have little or no personal ideology but go with whatever they are told to believe by whomever that might be.
An example....if the news/radio tells us we have a debt problem -then suddenly we have a debt problem. If they say we have a border crisis....we have a border crisis. If they say Mueller was a "nothing burger" then so be it.
From my own personal experience most of the people I know have a very short attention spans, very seldom read anything in depth and much prefer a synopsis or summary by someone simply because they have no interest in investigating the facts.
Call me cynical.....I AM.

Last night I turned off Brian Williams who started his show with the "big disappointment" spin, then turned off Colbert when Wallace started in, then turned off CNN when the panel was similarly "unimpressed." I ended up watching Canadian and European stations and from what I saw they covered it factually as a regular news story but didn't spin it.
