Puerto Ricans rioted until their bigot governor was forced to resign.

Ok Americans, time to stop watching TV, get off your asses, go down to the capital, and be pissed off until your bigot criminal traitor president is forced to resign.

You’re still on the couch. WTF?!

This kind of attitude is playing into the puppet master's hands.
It is encouraging people to not vote in 2020 because "we don't have
a chance".
The more votes against the Republicans there are, the greater the
difficulty they will have to fudge the numbers in their favor.
Don't forget, there are many other important races and propositions
that need our votes.
The powers that be want you to become frustrated and join the
vast numbers of potential voters who have given up.

other than in some fantasy. Those tens of millions of Trump supporters are going nowhere and to try and do what was done in Puerto Rico will get some people hurt and killed here.
So it's fine to suggest that just as long as you're willing to put your ass on the front lines to get hurt or killed.

Fuck God, that make-believe puppet.

Fuck all those soldiers that have died already to fight for our dream of a nation. They were stupid. How stupid were they to storm those beaches to end a trump style regime just to be slaughtered. Really honoring what they died for. You think you are not gonna die in a nuke exchange, climate disasters, poison in air, water and food. Go ahead sit back and save your ass, I will honor the oath I took to destroy an enemy, especially within. I will gladly be willing to serve again, and die this time, for my daughter. I will not cower to those knuckle dragging mouth breathers and give my country away. Vietnamese and ISIS were much more scary. Left fear on the battlefield a long time ago, to honor my fallen brothers and sisters. You sit there in fear, we will take care of this attack for you. Never again. Already been proven, many, many Americans have already put their asses on the front line, for your safety.

We are all activists now. Our country has been invaded. This is not a test. It is not hypothetical.

Besides, large protest marches are invigorating. We should use our 1st Amendment while we still can.

Jeekers. People who are afraid of their own freedom don't deserve to have it.

Soldiers have died in my view, never saying someone else should do this, "the enemy has guns". Just look at the percent of this country that serve now. Less than 5 percent, while ALL the others can enjoy thier safety. I will fight another day for their honor. I am hoping eventually all those tRumpers will realize they are being fucked by GOP and Corp America. Those weapons may be pointed at this treasonous regime, not fellow citizens. You can bet then, the gun confiscation will happen immediately. This regime must be brought down and face justice. We The People outnumber these criminals. We should not be at this point. Our own government is stoking hate, fear, guns at each other. While they stuff their accounts. God Ain't blessin MurKKKa, nor should he.

I do not want violence to be our fight. We use to be a democracy where we could stand up peacefully and demand our government do for us. At least part of our country still believes that. A part that has been pushed aside to rebuild after a catastrophe while the Predident trashes them. They did this in extreme conditions, heat, still trying to recover. That is bravery and strength. What happened to the rest of our country? Fear of being shot by fellow citizens, too hot outside? Just like the wars. Let a small percentage of OTHERS put their life in jeopardy. I will sit here safe and reap the rewards. United we stand, divided we fail never rung so true. GOP live by that. Like I said. No Fear, our lost Heros deserve better from those that are reaping the rewards. Out!

I'm saying simply if you're calling for people to put their safety and lives on the line, then you had better be willing to be upfront.
Fortunately for me, I will no longer need to read your "cleverness".

The land area of the United States?

I do agree that there ought to be rioting in the streets to overthrow certain people, but this country is far too large and diverse (as much as white supremacists hate that) for a national strike to occur.

It was several days of mostly peaceful protest, with some violence from a very few hotheads. Some of my neighbors participated (I live on a smaller PR island, not the main island) and posted video, pics, and stories on social media. It was more of a communal block party, a voicing of frustration. Protesters even went back to clean up the streets after each protest. A riot in the States wouldn't last long and would be bloody and counterproductive. A peaceful, sustained protest, however, would be hard for the media to ignore.

2) All Social Security funds transferred to help build the wall?
3) The cancellation of all reality shows?
4) Termination of the NFL?
5) A declaration of war against Iran which includes the reinstatement of the draft?
6) A divine intervention?
7) A massive new tax on all alcohol?

Colonial Uprising
The protests that brought down Puerto Rico’s governor are also about the island’s troubled relationship with the mainland.

he tidal waves of scandal and public outrage had grown too big to be put off any further. On Wednesday, facing a crowd of clamoring reporters at the Capitol, the speaker of the House made the executive’s options plain: resign or be impeached.

It could have happened in Washington, at nearly the same hour. But it didn’t. Instead, the moment of truth came at the periphery of empire in the territorial capital of San Juan. While the political press was focused on downplaying Robert Mueller’s recounting of his damning report before Congress, Puerto Ricans showed how a leader—dogged by mounting allegations of corruption, illegal campaign activity, and dereliction of office—gets held to account.

Just before midnight, a few hours after the speaker of the Puerto Rican House of Representatives made his threat, Gov. Ricardo Rosselló announced his intention to resign—the island’s first chief executive to do so since the United States began allowing it to elect its own governors in 1947. Toppling him took the diligent work of defiant journalists and public officials willing to do their duty. But above all, it took the tens of thousands of Puerto Ricans massing in the streets and grinding business to a halt to force the hand of those in power.

When he announced his departure, the crowds, who had waited all day to hear his decision, burst into celebration.
