Lawmaker says she’s been told to back off call for probe of Jeffrey Epstein’s work release

Florida Sen. Lauren Book has reached out to Capitol police after receiving an anonymous warning connected to her demand for a state inquiry into Palm Beach Sheriff Ric Bradshaw’s handling of accused sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein’s lenient work release program, the Miami Herald has learned.

Book, a vocal advocate for child sexual assault survivors, said she also received more than a dozen calls by Bradshaw’s political supporters asking her to back off on her call for an investigation by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement into Bradshaw.

Ric Bradshaw, sheriff of Palm Beach County when Jeffrey Epstein was incarcerated and still sheriff, said his office will investigate its own handling of the multimillionaire’s work release. Epstein was allowed 12 hours a day, six days a week of freedom despite allegations from three dozen underage girls that he had molested them. Taylor Jones Palm Beach Post

On Monday, Book, a Democrat, wrote a letter to Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis asking him to authorize a probe into how Epstein, accused of molesting dozens of underage girls and a registered sex offender, was permitted to leave the Palm Beach County Jail and spend much of his 2008-2009 incarceration in an office in West Palm Beach.

Wouldn't surprise me to learn DeSantis was getting money or info from Epstein.

There needs to be documentation of every single person who contacts her and every effort to find the identity to "anonymous" contacts. Nobody - not one single person - without a vested interest in keeping their perversions or payoffs secret would be telling anyone to "back off" a call for an investigation. Its clear money changed hands or people were "blackmailed" here because the entire plea deal and work release makes.no.sense.

serious ties to Trump.

And Book's father is one of the top Democratic lobbyists, with ties to who-knows-what.

Bradshaw investigating himself is, of course, ridiculous, but he seems to have good reason to believe he'll get away with it.

12. Epstein made frequent donations to the Palm Beach PD.

In exchange for $100,000 donations to the Palm Beach Police Department, Jeffery #Epstein was "given PBPD baseball hats to put on dashboard of cars to avoid being stopped." Historically this is called a bribe and it tends to buy much more.

may have been done to find the videos and pictures he likely has of other rich people raping children. Days later, Epstein gets assaulted in prison. I'd say that's a hint that they didn't find what they were looking for. What was the motivation and who would be able to reach such a high profile prisoner? Roughing him up to find out where he hid the pictures and videos? I bet they're still out there.
