12:17 a.m. A drunk guy was wandering down the street.
5:20 a.m. A man was passed out on the side of the road near Bad Rock Canyon.
6:45 a.m. A man trying to turn the volume up on his phone ended up calling 911 instead.
7:04 a.m. Someone got sprayed in the face with bear spray.
7:31 a.m. Two cows were on the run in Kalispell.
10:09 a.m. A Kalispell woman found a dead bat in her living room.

Unemployment is rampant.
Youth are leaving rural communities.
Opioid use is killing people.
communities are losing doctors and hospitals.
Schools merge between distant towns. Bussing.
Loss of jobs means people move away and property revenue to support schools is lost.
This thread is so not funny.

(11,631 posts)I'll fess up... the drunk guy and the passed out guy who accidentally called 911 were all me (it was a real good night!)... and I did get my cows in tyvm, but that was NOT my goose... oh yeah and my wife only THOUGHT it was a bat, truth is the mice have learned to fly in order to eat more of our shit...

9:15 passed by another shitkicker with MAGA and various other GOP stickers all over his truck and playing some sort of Country song at 100db
10:00 truck carrying crushed aluminum cans dumped about 3 large bags and cans all over the road
12:12 neighbor spraying herbicide on pastures - pretty sure the drift will get what remains of my garden
1:30 went by neighbor who still had his Ted Cruz signs up from the 2018 election
I'm sure more will happen before the day's over. Finally home and can lock my gate and seak "shelter from the storm"

(45,105 posts)head of cattle being moved from one pasture to another, two cows and a calf broke out and came down the drive. The dogs came and got them back up on the road. Those cowboys and cattle made a lot of noise. Had to go in and get another cup of coffee because mine got cold. Yeah, it's hell.

(1,615 posts)Its kind of conservative. Its not very diverse. Other than that its a fairly pleasant place to live. Small city of 23,000 people. Close to Glacier National Park.
