Trump administration to bring back federal death penalty after 16-year lapse...I'm so proud.

Attorney General Bill Barr has instructed the Federal Bureau of Prisons to reinstate the death penalty, the Justice Department announced Thursday.

“Congress has expressly authorized the death penalty through legislation adopted by the people’s representatives in both houses of Congress and signed by the President. ... The Justice Department upholds the rule of law—and we owe it to the victims and their families to carry forward the sentence imposed by our justice system.”
— Attorney General Bill Barr

Why it matters: No federal executions have taken place since 2003 — an informal moratorium as the Justice Department "reviewed its lethal injection protocols," per the Washington Post. In addition to directing the BOP to resume capital punishment, Barr has asked the acting director of the agency to schedule the executions of 5 death-row inmates convicted of murder, beginning on Dec. 9.

I'd say any member of the Trump administration should consider this a mortal threat.

And if one really proved their worth they could be rewarded with a nice little dacha.

a genocidal, totalitarian dictatorship like those we have seen in the past with Hitler, Stalin and others.

Packing the courts with extreme right-wing judges, contempt for the rule of law, stirring up fear and hatred against immigrants, minorities, non-Christians, gay people, women, liberals, etc., putting people in concentration camps, the list goes on.

And all of this has either been implemented or accelerated in only 2.5 years under Trump. Can you imagine another 6.5 years of what a Trump administration will do to this country?

A lot of people feel like what happened in Nazi German could never happen here. I don't believe that at all. In fact, I think it's happening, but they have not taken it to it's extreme yet.

like you know, fuck let's kill some people to get the weekend shows gabbing about it instead of all the dirty * we did and continue to do.

If I were cynical, I might think they care not at all for the humans that live on this Earth.
