It really is that simple.
And so I have to endure one more Trumptrocity as Barr orders the revenge killing of five humans who, for beyond any doubt, committed heinous crimes.
To make it worse, this state sponsored killing is almost certainly for the purpose of distraction.

Death, like everything else, is just something he can use to feed as red meat to his fucked-up fans.

Vengeance isn't justice.

(70,700 posts)When they asked him the gotcha about the death penalty if his wife were the victim. He should have said, every victim has their loved ones who are just as precious to them as my wife and loved ones are to me, so if I'm against the death penalty, which I am, I am against it (across the board).

(47,485 posts)I put it in my will that if I will end up a victim of crime and the criminal found and convicted, that he should not get the death penalty.
(I have often wondered about the phrase "eligible for the death penalty". Not being an English maven, far from it, in my mind, "eligible" refers to benefits but what do I know?)

(63,221 posts)I agree it's a distraction, but I think there is something even more nefarious going on here. I think they are setting the stage for eliminating people they consider "undesirable" and political enemies. I know that sounds far fetched, but I put nothing past them.

Life without possibility of parole is just as well.
