Last Week: Who CARES if there aren't enough votes to pass a resolution to open an impeachment inquiry? You can't not do the right thing just because a majority doesn't want to! Do it ANYWAY!
This Week: So what they started an impeachment inquiry? They didn't get a House resolution authorizing it which means it's not OFFICIAL, so it doesn't count!
Last Week: Nadler is dying to start an impeachment inquiry but he won't/can't do it without Pelosi's permission and she won't let him.
This Week: Yay! Nadler's a hero. He singlehandedly started an impeachment inquiry. But we can't give Pelosi any credit because she didn't have anything to do it. And she STILL doesn't want to impeach

(18,486 posts)The House Judiciary Committee takes the first stepbut also brings a vital constitutional process down to the level of political horse-trading.
On Friday, the House Judiciary Committee dropped a bombshell: The committees Democrats are beginning an impeachment inquiry against the president of the United States. You could be forgiven if you didnt notice.
Members of the committee majority, led by Chairman Jerry Nadler, crowded together in front of a lectern to unveil their next steps following the testimony Wednesday of former Special Counsel Robert Mueller. What began as an announcement of high-profile lawsuits building on that testimony quickly devolved into a confused back-and-forth with reporters as Nadler and his colleagues repeatedly insisted they were not beginning impeachment proceedings before admitting that, yes, they were basically doing just that.

Never good enough, Democrats! We know we demanded you start impeachment and you did, but you didn't announce it with enough "moral clarity."
And we know we're the media responsible for communicating information to the public, but it's your fault if not enough people noticed what you did yesterday.

Me.
(35,454 posts)if they'd stop yapping they'd have to think and the subject of how they were a major contributor to the state the country right now might be hard to miss. Brian Williams has been particularly awful calling the hearings weak and useless. I guess he has forgotten all his Walter Mitty moments. He better be careful because karma will catch up with him again as it eventually does with all those stone throwes who live in glass houses.

(22,571 posts)it's worth doing well and at the right time.
Pelosi get lauded to high heaven and sent dozens of roses,
but when she doesn't jump through the hoops of some just like they think it should be done, then she's a bum and should resign.
So is this how Democrats will unite to defeat Trump?
